#1 Adding content

After you have successfully logged in, the following screen will appear:

Notice the top black ribbon that just appeared. From there you can visit the front-end:

Or from the front-end you can go back to the back-end which is called the ‘Dashboard’:

Remember this, in the case you get lost.

 

#1.1 How to add a NWFP?

From the left menu select ‘My NWFPs – > Add New’

Or do it by selecting ‘+New – > NWFP’ from the black ribbon on the top of the editing screen.

A form for inputting NWFPs will appear. Start filling the form, and notice the multiple tabs below the NWFP title name. Those are various sections of data that have to be filled in. If you don’t have enough data, leave them empty.

When you’re done entering the data, select the Category from the right sidebar and hit the ‘Submit for Review’ button. An e-mail is automatically generated and sent to the Moderator that will make corrections (if needed) and publish the NWFP.

#1.2 How to add a Reference?

From the left menu select ‘References – > Add New’ or select a new reference from the top black ribbon (as explained earlier).

Start filling the form.

You can add multiple authors by selecting the blue ‘Add Author’ button. When naming the authors, write the full surname (following with comma sign) and just the name initial (i.e. Malsem, C.). Select the blue button ‘Add Author’ to add more authors.

On the bottom, select a product (or multiple products) where this reference is used and hit the ‘Submit for Review’ button. An e-mail is automatically generated and sent to the Moderator that will make corrections (if needed) and publish the Reference.

#1.3 How to add a Network item?

From the left menu select ‘Network items – > Add New’ or select a new Network Item from the top black ribbon (as explained earlier).

Start filling the form. Notice the multiple tabs beneath the Network Item name. All tabs should be opened and filled with informations.

When you’re done entering informations, hit the ‘Submit for Review’ button. An e-mail is automatically generated and sent to the Moderator that will make corrections (if needed) and publish the Network Item.

 

#2 Working with images

The following procedure is the same if you’re trying to add a product image, area map, a gallery (NWFPs) or a logotype (Network item).

Notice that for the NWFPs images you need to have a reference (plain text). For the logotype of the Network item the reference is not needed.

Select the ‘Add image’ button:

A new window will appear. Follow the instructions given on that screen. After you’re done with adding an image, hit the blue ‘Select’ button on the bottom right corner of the screen.

Notice that, while adding a product image, a product area map or a network item logotype, there is a restriction of only one image. While adding a product gallery, the restriction is set to five (5) images.

 

#3 Working with text editors

During the procedure of adding data into the database, you will come accross to text editor fields. Those are simple fields where modifiying the ‘looks and feel’ of the fonts are enabled. Their usage is the same as in any text editor software (MS Office, Notepad, Open Office, etc.).

If you’re missing options, notice the ‘Toolbar Toggle’ button at the top row of the editor. By selecting this button, more options will appear.

#4 Adding connections

There are several connection types you can add:

  1. Connect a NWFP with a Network item,
  2. Connect a NWFP with a Reference,
  3. Connect a Reference with a NWFP,
  4. Connect a Network Item with a NWFP.

Those connections can be made while adding a NWFP or Network Item by selecting the last tab of the form:

Or on the bottom of ‘Add New Reference’ form:

Only NWFPs can be connected both with a Reference and a Network Item (two connections can be done). For the Reference and a Network item only one connection can be done.

Since the procedure of adding a connection is the same of all three types, we will continue with the example of adding a connection to a NWFP.

On the ‘Connections’ tab, select the Network Item this NWFP is connected with and References used. Multiple choices are available, and you can also reorder the connections by dragging a connection onto the top.

Don’t forget to hit the ‘Submit to Review’ button after finished adding connections!

 

#5 Suggested procedure

Since there are three databases a Contributor can fill, we will suggest a procedure:

Step 1 – Add a Network Item

Step 2 – Add a NWFP

Step 3 – Add a Reference

Repeat step 3 untill all the References are added. For each reference immediately select the NWFP that is connected to.

Step 4 – Go back to your NWFP and add Connections to all the references added for that NWFP.

Step 5 – Repeat steps 2-4 (if you have new products).

 

#6 How to edit the database entries?

Let’s presume you didn’t finish editing a database entry (but you have already sent it for revision) and you would like to add some more data. The following procedure is the same for all three types of data, so we will continue with the Network Item example.

From the back-end, select ‘Network Items -> All Network Items’

You will see a list of all items, but you will be able to edit only the ones you’ve entered. Hover with your mouse pointer over the selected item and press ‘Edit’
